The hoose is on the Fife Costal Path so you  can wrap up warm and brave the elements and then indulge yourself at any of the numerous eating establishments nearby.

Warmest day of the year so far...

Great news... Summer is alive and well in Crail. There were even some sightings of people in shorts today. Steady on! What a lovely day for a jaunt around the East Neuk. There are still a few self catering holiday weeks left for the summer so please get in touch to check availability.

Just about perfect!

Lovely afternoon at our holiday rental in the East Neuk spent watching the waves and the birds, drinking coffee and eating delicious homemade tablet. A big thank you to the harbour cafe, they even supply cosy woollen rugs for your knees!

One of our favourite walks...

There is a lovely circular route that follows the coast line toward the harbour. This is a picture of the 'doocote'. A very historical part of the village that opens to the public twice a year. This weekend sees two of our close friends going to 'The Hoose' for a lovely short break in the East Neuk of Fife. We are sure they will have a lovely time!

Strawberries and cream anyone?

Already seen people out enjoying the sunshine playing tennis at the lovely new courts in Crail... a sure sign that the weather has turned warmer. The courts are a very short walk away from our holiday accommodation in Crail.

Lovely day for a walk and a coffee...

Visited crail to get ready for our next guests. Wow! The sun was out and you could still see the snow on the hills in the distance. Grabbed a coffee from 'Julia's' and had a lovely walk in the sunshine. The outside wall in front of our little  holiday house in Crail has just been repaired and really has brightened the outside of our Hoose up too!

Lobster coming soon.....

We are really excited, Spring is almost here and that only means one thing in Crail, the Lobster shack reopens....! Along with the newly refurbished fish and chip shop, we will soon be having our family favourite of Lobster and chips.

Storms 'a' blowin...

Wow! Still a super stormy day in Crail today. Look at the picture of the wild sea. A perfect day for a long walk along the beach followed by a warm cuppa by the log burner!

Storm bound!

Just been up to the house and witnessed the crazy weather that is going on at the moment! The stormiest we have seen the sea for a long time...Some guests have just gone in to the house and we have made sure their stay will be nice and comfortable. Lots of blankets, a loaded log store and some wine. What more do you need?
